Discussion and Support for the Bitcoin Mini

Bitcoin Mini is a full node in a micro form factor. You can purchase one at http://bitcoinmini.com. The Mini is a dedicated platform for your home that can run programs or apps that need to communicate with the Bitcoin blockchain or network. You control your node and your apps built for it. Built on Linux and node.js.

What are the public bitcoin Node-IPs for the 10 largest mining pools.

I'd like to directly add the 10 major bitcoin mining pools public Node-IPs to my bitcoin peer list. Does anyone have a list of IP:port for the major miners?
I would think this would be plastered on their front page.

My concern is that a nefarious actor would know my physical location and assume I have btc they could steal.

Bitcoin core uses 'showmyip" as a centralized hard coded method to get your node's IP address. Isn't this wildly dangerous?

In net.cpp in the bitcoin core source code is these two lines:
addrConnect = CService("74.208.43.192", 80); // www.showmyip.com
and
addrConnect = CService("91.198.22.70", 80); // checkip.dyndns.or
Two random commercial, centralized websites. How smart is it to base the entire future world economic system on the fact that "showmyip" is an honest company that always returns the correct address. Or that those two might not just suddenly go away, or change their page format, or be DDOSed?
Even if it would be simple to change, since it clearly could be, if both went down or one started spitting out incorrect information how many hours or how many DAYS would it take for a new version of bitcoin to be released and how long would it take for everyone to upgrade?
Is this not a huge threat? Even the source code itself writes it would be better if bitcoin "asked for volunteers"(!?) to host a script to return IPs, and yet that comment has remained since the time satoshi was writing the code till now. With no solution even attempted.
